APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) Training

This course is designed for anyone looking to start a successful career in project management or those wanting to understand the fundamentals of project management excellence. In addition, delegates with no prior experience or APM course accreditation who wish to understand how projects are run will benefit from this course. 

This event is a mixture of input and practical sessions delivered by an APM-approved trainer. All trainers have practical experience in project management. Practical sessions are on an individual and team basis and feature throughout the event.

The examination is a 1-hour multiple-choice exam. Exam vouchers are provided, and the candidates can schedule an exam with the APM Proctor service at their convenience.

APM Introductory Certificate Exam

Yes. The course is APM accredited and includes the relevant exam voucher and web proctoring service.

Elements of the project management life cycle covered by the APM body of knowledge have now been integrated into APM courses such as planning and scheduling, communication, teamwork, resource management, project risk management and project reviews.

The APM PFQ exam is a 1-hour exam with 60 multiple-choice questions. You will receive an exam voucher to schedule your exam session post-class. The exam voucher includes a web-proctoring service required to supervise your exam session.

Yes. Photographic proof of identity is required before taking your exam. The image is stored only in the exam recording, which is reviewed to ensure exam compliance and is kept securely in a cloud system for six months. Please see the ProctorExam privacy policy and APMs privacy policy.

You will need to install exam control software on your computer before your exam session. Please watch the video and read the instructions for more information: Online examinations: what to expect (apm.org.uk). You will need to have a smartphone available for your exam session, download an app and use it as a secondary recording device. This is in addition to your computer. The exam checks will add 15 minutes to your exam session.

You will receive your exam access email from APM 3 days before your exam session.

Certification candidates and existing credential holders are responsible for reporting all Continuing Certification Requirements Program (CCR) activities to PMI (Project Management Institute). To report the completion of a Learning Tree course, you can use the Online PDU (Professional Development Units) Resources System.
